The Shire of Omeo has been a part of the East Gippsland Shire since the 1994 when then Victorian Premier
J Kennett amalgamated shires in Victoria.
The society has a local history collection which incorporates information from all parts of the old shire. The collection is housed in the heritage listed AM Pearson historic park at Omeo.
With its 5 heritage listed buildings which include two CourtHouses and a Log Gaol the park is an absolute must when visiting the region. You cant miss it in the middle of town. Go here if you would like to contact us.
